Hirsch's Centurion staff 's helping hand to Hospice on Mandela Day

Posted last July 23, 2012, 3:40 pm in People report article

Hirsch's Centurion staff thought it appropriate to celebrate Madiba's Birthday by forfeiting a team building function they were due to have recently, to help the Centurion Hospice said PRO Linda Levendag. They got together to help make a difference as The Centurion Hospice has been very unfortunate to have had their premises broken into 12 times this year! The community got together to assist and with security in place the Hospice is trying to get back on their feet. Hirsch's Centurion joined hands with with DA Councillor Ina Strijdom and invited Ina Middel and Teacher Maureen Bowa to celebrate this special day with them. The Hospice's coffee shop was in great need of a toaster and food warmer. Both Ina and Maureen were very happy to receive these gifts which will come in handy to not only create funds for the Hospice but to supplement their appliances in the coffee shop. After the handover everyone spent the balance of the 67 minutes talking whilst enjoying a lovely cup of cappuccino and a bite to eat. Linda would like to invite anyone who would like to assist the Centurion Hospice with clothing, old appliances or books to contact Ina Middel on 012 664 6175 / [email protected]pice.com or [email protected]
